Brenden Donahue

Brenden founded Filtered Insights Consulting to help driven individuals and teams connect the dots and turn raw data into actionable insights.

Brenden attended Western Washington University where he majored in Economics and minored in Geology. During this time, he completed coursework at the London School of Economics in sustainable development.

After finishing his undergrad degree, he worked with Quality Food Centers corporate office before taking a job with ICI-USA (Tovolo). It was here, wearing many different hats, that he found his love of data, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting.

Brenden joined Tableau in 2015 where he worked supporting the consulting, education, and certification organizations. During his tenure there, he owned strategic projects with internal stakeholders and external partners. In addition to creating and managing many of the run-the-business dashboards and certified datasets, he also applied his business acumen and propensity to help others ask the ‘double click’ questions of their data.

In 2020, Brenden attended William & Mary where he earned his Masters in Business Analytics. He finished first in his class while maintaining his employment at Salesforce (post Tableau acquisition).

Brenden brings 10 years of experience in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, Tableau Prep, Snowflake, Alteryx, Smartsheet, SQL Server, and Python. Brenden currently holds two Tableau Desktop certifications.
